Chelsey and Paul are a wonderful couple. Although Chelsey is originally from Pittsburgh, she and Paul met in California. Chelsey rented an apartment in the same building as Paul, and they immediately hit it off – the rest is history! We thought the Renaissance Hotel was the perfect choice for their wedding day and the coming together of so many of their family and friends.
Chelsey and Paul’s preparations both took place at the Renaissance, so we got to spend some quality time with their bridal parties in the morning. The huge windows and great natural light made Chelsey absolutely glow. We got to hang out with the entire bridal party Downtown for Chelsey and Paul’s “First Look” before the ceremony. Since it was a Sunday, it felt like we had the city to ourselves and loved every minute of photographing these two together.
Chelsey’s brother, Colin, was the officiant of their beautiful ceremony that took place on the Grand Staircase at the Renaissance. Although it’s a huge room, it felt extremely intimate as all of Chelsey and Paul’s family and friends gathered to watch. The reception started off with some extra heart-felt toasts from family and friends, making it clear just how much these two are loved. After dinner, Chelsey changed into a traditional Vietnamese wedding dress before she and Paul greeted their guests. This was an exquisite detail in a day filled with special touches – right down to the miniature Heinz Ketchup bottles on each table (a nod to Chelsey’s Pittsburgh upbringing).
Thanks to Chelsey and Paul for including us in their day. We loved working with you guys!
