Emily and Nick are married! Because they live out of town, Emily and Nick did a lot of planning for their Pittsburgh wedding via phone calls and emails. This was exactly how we got to know them (and all of the details of their wedding day) – before even meeting them in person. Needless to say, by the time their wedding day rolled around, we were SO EXCITED to finally get to capture all of the fabulous details that they planned.
We began the day at the Fairmont Hotel Downtown, where Emily, her family, and bridesmaids got ready for the day. Makeup by Bryant Garbutt.
You’ll see TONS of pictures of flowers throughout this blog post – mostly because they were absolutely gorgeous. Flowers were all created by Lilli-Maeg Floral Specialties.
The breath-taking view from the Fairmont!
Emily and Nick chose to meet each other for a “first look” before their ceremony. After considering many different spots, they decided on Mellon Park – a perfect choice!
Emily’s bouquet of orchids and peonies was tied with something old and something blue – fabric from her Grandmother’s dress.
Their ceremony took place at St. Mary of the Mount Church on Mount Washington.
Magenta-colored orchids were included in everything – from the programs to the bouquets and center pieces.
Their reception was held at The Duquesne Club Downtown. The tall orchid center pieces were the perfect complement to the ornate ballroom.
Thanks to Emily and Nick for an unforgettable day! Congratulations to you both!! Enjoy more of their pictures in the slide show below:
