We had a great time with Emily and Ken last fall for their totally rockin’ engagement session, which involved a beautiful farm and some very personable horses. Although no horses were involved, their wedding day was also a TON of fun. We were once again greeted with a very rainy Saturday, which didn’t concern Emily and Ken in the least as they smiled and laughed their way through the day with ease. We got to shoot at a new church for the ceremony, St. Maurice Parish, in Forest Hills and returned to one of our favorite venues for their reception, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.
If we had to pick one word to define the day it would be “smiles”. Despite the rain showers, Emily totally worked it and provided some entertainment for her bridal party in the process with her excellent “model” poses.
The “smiles” continued with Ken and his groomsmen. Ken’s groomsmen were hilarious and kept him laughing throughout the day.
Emily and Ken enjoyed a few quiet moments together before heading to their reception.
A surprise brake in the rain let us take advantage of the excellent exterior of Soldiers and Sailors (and let the groomsmen sneak in a torpedo ride).
Thank you Emily and Ken! We’ve loved working with you and being a part of your day!
