Let’s just cut to the chase: Jess and Mike are awesome. We haven’t photographed many weddings that feature an entire soccer team, soccer cleats, and vuvuzela’s, but these two pulled it off in style. Mike and Jess both coach a soccer team together, so they decided to invite all the players to take part in their beautiful ceremony at St. Mary of the Assumption in Glenshaw. It was a great way to kick off an extraordinary wedding day filled with fun and lots of laughter.
Jess was already beaming as her bridesmaids helped her with final preparations before the ceremony.
The bride and groom made sure the ring bearer and flower girl arrived in style. The wagon was also a nod to Jess’s childhood, and a total surprise for her mom.
After saying “I do” Jess and Mike were greeted by an enthusiastic team and a “vuvuzela line.” Studio Bash was quite impressed with the soccer team. They were a class act at the wedding, and it was easy to see how much they admired the bride and groom. Nice work team!
After the ceremony we headed to Hartwood Acres for some bridal party fun.
This is definitely one of our favorites parts of a wedding day – when the bride and groom replace their wedding shoes for soccer cleats.
Before heading in to start their party at the Rivers Club Downtown, we took a walk to grab some super-fun urban shots.
This couple even incorporated their love of soccer into a one-of-a-kind guest book, by having their guests sign soccer balls.
The one and only “DJ Underdog” kept the dance floor moving!
At the end of the night, we took a few “end-of-the-night” photos with our couple. Jess looked stunning in her second wedding party dress – a shorter gown worn with fabulous fuschia heels.
Thank you, Jess and Mike, for a wonderful day! Check out more images in their slide show:
