Ashley and Eric’s love story starts way back – they’ve known each other since childhood (their moms are best friends). It seems like destiny that these two ended up together, and we loved being able to capture part of their journey together. Ashley and Eric’s wedding day was beautiful. We spent a fun-filled morning of preparations with Ashley and her bridesmaids at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott and took advantage of the beautiful morning for some great outdoor photos in the courtyard. We met Eric and his groomsmen at the Harmony Township Fire Department where he volunteers. Eric’s very passionate about his work as a fireman, and we jumped at the chance to incorporate this into his photos.

Now, we can’t go any further without mentioning the “R” word. That’s right – Rain. Lot’s of rain. As we headed towards the outdoor ceremony site at Old Economy Village, the sky opened up and it poured buckets. The ceremony was moved inside, and the wind, rain, and thunder didn’t let up. If it truly is lucky to have rain on your wedding day, these two are going to have one lucky life! So how did they ceremony go? It was PERFECT! The indoor setting made things even more intimate as Ashley and Eric exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family. And, as if on cue, the rain stopped as soon as we stepped outside for some bridal party pictures in Old Economy Village.

Ashley and Eric’s reception at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott was the perfect end to their fairy tale day. We were happy to finally work with the excellent Dean McAfee, owner of the Pittsburgh DJ Company, and the always wonderful Pittsburgh Airport Marriott event staff. Thank you Ashley and Eric for a fabulous day – we loved sharing in the fun!
