As chilly temperatures continue in Pittsburgh, we are excited to be blogging about an amazing couple who braved the cold for their awesome winter wedding earlier in the month. Maria and Conn got married at Church of the Ascension in Shadyside and had their reception in the stunning Carnegie Music Hall Foyer. Their Oakland/Shadyside locations worked perfectly, and we got to spend plenty of time hanging out with both Maria and her bridesmaids and Conn and his groomsmen before the wedding.
Maria and her bridesmaids looked fantastic when they took a break from their Holiday Inn bridal suite for some outdoor pictures. They were such troopers sporting their dresses in the cold – and it was COLD! Conn and a majority of his groomsmen attended Central Catholic High School, so we stopped there for a few shots of the guys before heading to the ceremony.
We were definitely impressed with the aesthetic qualities of Church of the Ascension. This was our first time photographing there, and it was a beautiful ceremony – especially with its aisles lined with glowing candles. After the ceremony, we headed back outside for bridal party pictures before heading to the Carnegie Museum. Maria and Conn couldn’t pass up the opportunity for photos both inside and outside of the museum before starting the party. In the Music Hall Foyer we were treated to a great night of heartfelt (and hilarious) toasts, the one and only DJ Jeremy Ganss, and a true celebration of family and friends.
Thank you Maria and Conn for letting us be part of your fantastic wedding day!
