Fabulous and fun are two of the first words that come to mind when describing Ashley and Matt’s amazing April wedding. We knew Ashley and Matt were going to be a pleasure to work with, and their great family and friends, well-chosen venues, and beautiful details made the day even better.

Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready at the Sheraton Station Square. Not only did they keep us on our feet with some amazing humor, but we also got to photograph Ashley’s dad lacing up her dress. That was a first for Studio Bash and we must say, he was a pro! Matt and his groomsmen were in great form when we met them at St. Mary of the Mount for pre-ceremony pictures. The fun vibe of the morning continued with plenty of laughter.

After the ceremony we stopped on Grandview Avenue for some great city pictures before heading over to West Park for more photos and some awesome surprises. While the groomsmen playing leapfrog, breaking into an impromptu wrestling match, and the entire bridal party throwing down some amazing poses were “photo gold”, Ashley and Matt’s dog, Myron, was definitely a highlight. Decked out in a suit and top hat, Myron was TOTALLY excited to see his newlywed owners when he arrived at the park. As you can see, he looked quite dapper, and was a natural in front of the camera.

Ashely and Matt’s reception took place at Jay Verno Studios in the South Side. The venue’s originality combined with Ashley and Matt’s stunning details provided a gorgeous backdrop for a night of celebrating. As an added bonus, we got to work with the awesome DJ Eric Schiemer, who had no problem keeping the dance floor packed from start to finish.
