We love meeting with our couples before their weddings to get the inside scoop and make sure we know what to expect on the big day. Through our planning with Melina and Tony we knew their wedding was going to have some amazing details, and we couldn’t wait to see them unfold. Perhaps one of the biggest surprises was finally getting to see Melina’s wedding dress that her mother, a professional costume designer, made from scratch! This added an extra personal touch to preparations, and the dress was absolutely perfect for Melina. Hair and makeup were styled by the fabulous Justine from Beauty Justified.
Tony and Melina are both Pitt graduates and kept things close to their alma mater with a Heinz Chapel ceremony and reception at the Bigelow Center. We got to hang out on Pitt’s campus with Melina, Tony, and their bridal party before heading to the reception. The lush flower arrangements were created by Alex, from Alex’s Flowers, who is also a close friend of Tony’s father (and a guest at the wedding!).
The main foyer of the Bigelow Center is gorgeous and a perfect place for cocktail hour. As guests headed upstairs to dinner, they were greeted with two “family trees” created by Melina’s father, a very talented artist. After dinner, guests headed downstairs for dancing with music provided by DJ Eric Schiemer of Schiemer Entertainment. Thank you Melina and Tony for letting us be part of your day!
