I have to say that it’s been a year filled with wonderful weddings – and it’s even been more special because we’ve had the opportunity to photograph many of our very close friends’ weddings in the past few months. This was the case with Jen and Jon’s beautiful country-chic wedding that took place at the Hayloft in Rockwood, PA. Jen and I (and this is Aly writing this blog post), have been friends since we were in middle school and have literally grown up together. So this was a really special (and emotional) wedding for the Studio Bash team.
Jon is an amazing person, and he is Jen’s perfect counterpart. Although Jen and Jon both are very successful in business and live in Downtown Manhattan, they both love nature and the outdoors with a passion. They’ve taken some pretty exotic trips together including camping in the Amazon Rain Forest – and they even got engaged while hiking in the snow-covered Adirondacks. So choosing a wedding location that included a natural setting was a no-brainer. They settled on the Svonavec Farm, otherwise known as “The Hayloft” and although it was one of the hottest days of the year, it was truly gorgeous and unforgettable. Jen and Jon chose to have a “First Look” and see each other before their ceremony. The Hayloft was a perfect location for a few romantic minutes together.

Jen’s sister Jackie, who is a teacher, gave a beautiful toast that included some fun visual aids.
Jen and her dad had been taking dance lessons and practicing for months for their very special dance together.
The night ended with an amazing fireworks display that guests watched from the barn. It was truly the perfect end to a perfect wedding day.
