Andrea and Chris’s wedding day was nothing short of a fairytale. And that’s pretty much a theme with the two of them – especially when you consider their love story. These two originally met in Japan (say what???). Yep, both were there as part of a program where Americans would travel abroad to teach English classes. Although they didn’t officially start dating until they returned to the States, there was certainly a spark from the first time they met.

Even their engagement included some whimsical elements – Chris planned a romantic evening while the two were on vacation last Summer. He took Andrea out for a walk, and they released Japanese lanterns into the night sky just as he popped the question (a nod to the place where they originally met).

So when it came time for their wedding day, we had pretty high expectations. Being that Andrea and Chris are both so full of fun, laughter and lots of surprises, we knew we were in for an amazing day. Andrea and Chris chose the beautiful Sewickley Heights Golf Club for both their ceremony and reception. Because they wanted to spend as much time as possible with family and friends (especially because a couple of friends even traveled in from Japan to celebrate with them), they decided to have a “First Look” and take a lot of their photos before the ceremony.

We had so much fun working with the two of them and their bridal party. The groomsmen even took a few pictures revealing their “Superhero Identities”, and Andrea and Chris delighted us with a few Superman “flying” pictures in the “clouds”. After a beautiful ceremony in a tent outdoors, Matt Swaoger of BPM Deejays got the party rolling and friends and family danced the night away.
