Lauren and Matt are the coolest. They are proud North Side residents and planned a wedding day that was truly fitting of their personalities, reflecting both their love of the North Side and our wonderful city. Lauren and her bridesmaids got ready at the Fairmont Hotel Downtown. Much to our surprise, there was a complimentary telescope in their room which was a nice throwback to their fall engagement session! Lauren’s bridesmaids all sported custom necklaces by Designs by Krissy – one of Lauren’s friends and bridesmaids! After some fun shots around the Fairmont with Lauren and her stunning bridesmaids, we headed to West Park for Lauren and Matt’s First Look. Besides being an absolutely beautiful park, Lauren and Matt were excited to use it since they walk there often. They even use it to walk to their church and ceremony site St. Peter Parish. We love the personal connections!

Although rain was in the forecast for the morning, the sky broke just in time for their first look and some bridal party photo time in the park. After a beautiful ceremony at St. Peter, we headed back Downtown to the historic Pennsylvanian for their reception. The outdoor rotunda is a much talked-about feature of the Pennsylvanian, and Lauren and Matt made sure their guests took full advantage. For cocktail hour, guests were treated to live music and cocktails. Later in the evening, a cigar bar, brandy and bourbon station made an appearance, and guests needed no convincing to enjoy the beautiful night air. Inside, Matt and Lauren kept things exciting with an actual Kona Ice truck serving up ice cold Kona Ices all evening! We were also treated to one of the most hilarious best man speeches ever which culminated with the gifting of some personalized artwork for the couple. Good work gentleman!
